This project was born out of frustration with how my university lost touch with nearly all alumni after graduation. To address this gap, I built an AI-augmented networking platform for students and alumni of the Frankfurt School of Finance & Management.
The tool connected to students’ LinkedIn profiles and generated an interactive network graph of the entire Frankfurt School community. It also featured a blog for sharing stories about semesters abroad, creating a richer sense of connection among students.
Beyond networking, the system leveraged LinkedIn data to recommend internships tailored to students’ semester and experience level. The goal was to reduce uncertainty in career planning and build momentum by providing students with clear, personalized opportunities.
The platform saw strong early adoption, with 300+ users within the first 24 hours of launch. Although it was well-received by students, the university administration requested its removal due to competitive concerns from the official career services department. Despite this, the project was recognized academically and awarded a 1.0 grade in the Systems Development class at Frankfurt School.
